Day 1. Hanoi city – Arrival – Evening Street food tour (D)

Welcome to Vietnam!  

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, meet our Asian Moonlight Travel’s local tour guide and we transfer to the city center.

Check in and relax at your hotel.

~5.00PM, meet our tour guide again and we enjoy 35 minute cyclo tour through Hanoi Old Quarter.

Then, we walk to enjoy street foods such as: Banh Mi, Pho (noodle soup with beef or chicken), seasoned fruits, egg coffee or Hanoi draft beer… We can visit train street to enjoy a drink, too.

After tour, our tour guide will take you back to your hotel for relax. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2. Hanoi - Sightseeing day tour – Water puppet show – Night train to Lao Cai (B/L)

After breakfast, check out hotel.

9.00AM, meet our tour guide at your hotel lobby.

Today, we will firstly take a visit the outside of the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum then stroll through the garden to the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 until he passed away in 1969. This simple two-room dwelling has been preserved in the same condition as during his life and can be viewed through the windows. Continue to the special architecture 11th century One Pillar Pagoda which was rebuilt after being destroyed by the French in 1954.

Then, we transfer to West lake to visit Tran Quoc pagoda where locals come to pray for peace, happiness and success…

Then, we come back to Hoan Kiem lake to visit the outside of Hanoi Opera and St. Joseph's Cathedral.

Break for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we visit Vietnamese Women's Museum - offers an insightful look into the life and beauty of Vietnamese women from the past to present. Whether you are interested in history, culture, or are simply looking for a truly memorable experience in your Hanoi travel journey, Vietnamese Women's Museum is a great place for a visit.

Next, we can visit the outside of Hanoi Opera and St. Joseph's Cathedral.

Before coming back to your hotel, we watch a water puppet show at a theatre in Hanoi city.

Dinner is on your own cost.  

We then transfer to Hanoi raiway station to board a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 3. Lao Cai railway station - Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van Village tour (B/L)

Arrival Lao Cai Train Station at around 5:30AM, our guide and driver will meet and transfer you to Sapa, situated just 40km from Lao Cai.

Breakfast is served at a hotel.

After breakfast, you can have a short rest before starting a mini trekking journey. There are many photo opportunities on the way. Travel downhill to Muong Hoa valley. Begin the trekking on a fairly rocky road through Lao Chai village, a Black Hmong’s ethnic village. Then continue to Ta Van village of Giay ethnic minority people. The terrace fields are great for photographing. Visit local people’s house and schools en-route.  Return to Sapa and have lunch. The rest of day you are free on your own.

Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Day 4. Sapa – Cable car to Fansipan peak – Sin Chai Village – (B/L)

Breakfast is served at your hotel.

9.00AM, Our tour guide will lead you to the cable car station for boarding a cable car ride to Mount Fansipan- 3143m high. Enjoy the view from the highest point of this incredible mountain.

After taking scenery, we get a cable car back to cable car station.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, you will take a short transfer to the small village of Sin Chai, inhabited by Black H’mong people. Sin Chai is located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain in an area covered by rain forest and under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park.

After tour, we come back to your hotel for relax. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 5. Sapa – Moana checking point – Transfer to Hanoi (B)

After breakfast, We start our easy day with a short walk to Moana View just 700m from the Church. Moana View is the latest checkin station specially made for young people who love to experience the new feeling. There, you will checkin the Bali Gate, Infinity lake, Moana Girl statue, Golden hand, thrilling swing, lonely tree and especially the panoramic Café where you can watch Fansipan peak with spectacular Muong Hoa valley. You can prepare nice clothes, hat..to make the best photos.

Check out hotel at noon and we transfer back to Hanoi city. Lunch and dinner are on your own cost.

Day 6. Hanoi – Mua Cave – Trang An – Mua Cave – Overnight in Ninh Binh province (B/L)

After breakfast, check out hotel and wait for our tour guide at your hotel lobby.

8:30 AM: Our tour guide picks you up from hotel and start driving to Ninh Binh, on the way, you experience the peaceful scenery along the Highway 1A, stop for a short break to stretch your legs.

We arrive Ninh Binh and drive to Mua Cave with stunning rice fields with buffalos, goats…along the road till approaching Mua Cave. You walk up to the top of the mountain where Mua cave is located.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we transfer to Trang An Wharf – the most exciting boating trip with sampan boats through caves and visit stunning river surrounded by Limestone Karsts with rich fauna and flora.

After visting Trang An, we transfer back to your hotel for relax.

The rest of day you are free at leisure.

Dinner is on your own.

Overnight in Ninh Binh province.

Day 7. Ninh Binh - Halong – Lan Ha Bay – Sharing cruise trip (B/L/D)

Breakfast is served at your hotel.

After breakfast, check out hotel and we depart to Halong to join your cruise trip in Halong – Lan Ha Bay.

11:30 : Arrive at Scarlet Pearl Cruise's Lounge in Halong International Cruise Port to check-in. Guests will be offered “welcome drink” and listen to instructions before boarding.

12:00 Guests will start boarding.

13:00 A splendid lunch is served at Tahiti Restaurant while the cruise travelling across primitive Lan Ha Bay. The bay has hundreds of islands and islets, making it a wonderful background for guests to look at while dining.

15:00 : Arrive at Sang Cave by kayaking or rowing boat as the path towards the cave is 70m long of water. On the way, guests will be amazed by sparkling karst arcs through sunlight. Afterwards, guests are invited to enter Ech Lagoon, an extremely serene and emerald spot to kayak and swim. It’ll be a wonderful chance to immerse in one of the most remote parts of Lan Ha Bay. The shape of this lagoon looks like a giant frog resting, hence it explains the name “Ao Ếch” in Vietnamese.

17:00 : Return to the cruise to relax and admire the sunset on the sundeck.

17:30 : Watching sunset over Lan Hạy Bay is one of the moments that shouldn’t be missed out. During this time, there will be either a Sunset Party in Sky Bar or a cooking class hosted by our Chef (depending on the season).

From 17:30-18:30 : it is Happy Hour meaning Buy One Get One Free - this promotion is applied on our limited drinks menu. Guests can also choose to watch the sunset by catamaran while sipping fresh cocktails (this is surcharged).

19:00 : Fine-dining dinner will be started along with fun and interactive cultural exchange between all the guests and our Vietnamese host.

Day 8. Halong - Hanoi airport – Flight to Hue city (B/L)

06:30 : Begin a new day with a Tai Chi session while welcoming magnificent sunrise. (Guests can also choose to take photos and enjoy the scene if they prefer so.) A light breakfast is served from.

06:45-07:30 : in the refreshing and peaceful beauty of the Bay.

07:30 Explore Lan Ha Bay by catamaran to more remote destinations that larger cruises cannot reach.

09:00 Get ready to check out.

09:30 Guests will be served with succulent buffet brunch in Tahiti Restaurant before disembarking.

11:00 - 11:30 The cruise is now back at the Port where our private car is waiting for you to transfer to Noi Bai international airport.

Today you will take a domestic flight to Hue city.

Arrive in Hue, meet our tour guide and we transfer to your hotel for check in and relax.

Dinner is on your own cost.

Day 9. Hue Imperial City Tour (B/L)

Breakfast is served at your hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, we set out for the exploration of Hue's famous highlights, we start to visit the Phu Cam Cathedral- a Roman Catholic cathedral and is one of the biggest churches in Hue city.

Next, we enjoy a boat trip on Perfume River to reach the picturesque Thien Mu otherwise known as Heavenly Lady Pagoda. One of the most poignant displays here is the car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. We then disembark the boat for a visit the elaborate tomb of former emperor Tu Duc, which was built between 1864 and 1867 by 3000 soldiers and workers. It includes fifty monuments surrounded by a 1500m long wall covering. We then head back to Hue for your lunch. Lunch today is served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we visit Hue Imperial City, the last royal city of Vietnam with various beautiful structures including the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace and the Forbidden City or Tu Cam Thanh. Built in the 19th century by the Nguyen dynasty, the City was home to the former Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945. We then do the walking and shopping in Dong Ba Market to enjoy the specialty of Hue city. Overnight at hotel in Hue.

Day 10. Hue – Hai Van Pass – Marble Mountains - Hoian ancient town tour (B)

After breakfast at hotel, we bid Hue farewell and continue our south bound journey to the old trading town of Hoian via Danang. Along the way, we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city. Then, we stop to visit Marble Mountains before going ahead to Hoian.

Upon arrival Hoian, we take a walking tour to Hoi An Ancient Town – an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. We start our day with the Japanese Covered Bridge – one of Vietnam’s most iconic attractions. Created by the Japanese living in Hoian in the 1590s as a way to reach the Chinese quarter across the water, the bridge is a beautiful historical piece of Japanese architecture. It would be a shortcoming without a visit to Tan Ky House - one of the many ancient houses that making up Hoian Ancient Town. Built two centuries ago with both Japanese and Chinese influences on architecture, this house has been preserved through seven generations. While walking, we will encounter pretty houses of Chinese merchants. Another must-see destination is Phuc Kiem Assembly Hall - an excellent work of architecture considered as a heritage of historical significance. Built in 1690, this Assembly Hall is in fact a temple dedicated to the sea goddess Thien Hau.

Day 11. Hoian – Basket Boat Tour - Tra Que Herb village (B/L)

Breakfast is served at your hotel.

08.00 AM: Our local guide picks up you at the hotel lobby and we enjoy a countryside day tour.

Upon arrival in Cam Thanh fishing village, we take a short break in a local family before enjoying 45 minutes ride on Traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat.

Then, we continue to bike to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetable are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.

Visit a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, we sit down for a delicious lunch.

After lunch, you are free to go around Hoian ancient town.

Dinner is on your own cost.

Our tour guide can suggest you some good restaurants so that you can enjoy New Year’s Eve dinner in Hoian.

Day 12. Hoian - Danang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh city – Jeep tour by night (B/D)

Morning, check out hotel and we transfer to airport. Today, we take a domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city, you will be welcomed by our driver and we transfer to your hotel. Check in and relax.

Lunch is on your own.

~18.00, meet our Jeep driver and tour guide at your hotel lobby Today, we will start exploring the city by night and tasting delicious dishes. Many local eateries are selected for your own

experiences: Grilled banana sticky rice - the food for fun originated from Mekong Delta; Bánh Xèo - Vietnamese crispy pancake with fresh vegetables and homemade mixed fish sauce. One soft drink/beer included; Grilled beef in piper lolot leaves one of the best street food in Vietnamese cuisine; Seafood: fresh and cooked by skillful chef, Vietnamese bread - one of most delicious street food in teh world; trendy dessert at local location where young Saigonese used to come and chit chat with friends.

The last stop at Acoustic/Rooftop bar will please and boost your mood while enjoying nice voice in a cozy ambiance. Let’s chill your spirit with your favorite cocktail before the safe trip to conduct you back to your hotel (~10.00PM).

Day 13. Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnels – Half day city tour (B/L)

Pick up time: 8.00AM at your hotel lobby.

Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun (on your own cost). Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 14. Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta one day tour (B/L)

7.30AM, meet our tour guide and we transfer to Ben Tre.

10h30: Our boat picks you up at Bến Tre market  (Bến Tre city) – Visit the Bến Tre market ( 10 – 15 minutes). Take the boat along Bến Tre river that is branch of Mekong river. On the way you can see people who earn living by fishing with difference way like: trap and nest...And boat traferring Coconut...

11h00; Stop at the coconut husking factory to see the way to husk coconut by hand, good place for photo as well.

11h20; Enjoy fresh coconut juice on boat, cruising in small canal with water palm beside ( water coconut jungle). Visit coconut candy workshop: to see the way to made coconut candy, tast hot coconut candy, tropical fruite, coconut wine, honey tea....

12h00: Visit family weaving sleeping mat, take Tuk Tuk or Bicycle along the village.

12h45: Have lunch at the local restaurant.

13h45: Rowing boat take you slowly in water palm cannal.

14h30: Arrive Nhà Việc Bridge get on bus back to your hotel.
